良いお年を！ Goodbye 2015

Looking back and forward....it was a fabulous year. Thank you, 2015--you were wonderful!

Hanging out at home...家でくつろいでいる。。。

今日は晴れだけど寒かった。やっぱり冬のスリッパーが必要です。The winter slippers are out and it is darn cold, despite the sun today. It was a good day for hanging out at home and keeping warm.

PS Yesterday marked exactly 4 years since I moved to Canada. Time flies...

追伸　昨日で４年間カナダに住んでいる。あっという間に。。。

Walking through Middle Earth...中つ国で歩いている

As I look back on 2015, I realise I walked through a bunch of fabulous movies. The first one was the Hobbit...今年はジムによく行った。ジムで好きなトレッドミル運動を栄が実ながらよくやった。最初の映画はホビット。


Then I walked through V for Vendetta...次は「Ｖ」。


Then Elysium..それエリジウム。


Then Flightplan...


Then Troy...


And all of the Game of Thrones...最後はゲーム・オブ・スローンズ。

It was a good year at the gym--and what a way to have fun on the treadmill!　ジムで超楽しい一年だった！

2015: My year of audiobooks オーディオブックの一年

2015 turned into the year that I discovered audiobooks. It was my brother's fault (of course). He sent me The Martian for my birthday in 2014 so when I started driving a lot in January 2015, I listened to that. Amazing book. None of the rest compare, but there are some amazing journeys on this list. ２０１５年は面白い一年だった。初めてやったことはいっぱいあって、超ラッキーだった。１月に初めてオーディオブックを聞きました。弟がＴｈｅ　Ｍａｒｔｉａｎを誕生日プレゼントにして、１月に出張でたくさんあっちこちで一人運転した。だからオーディオブックにぴったり。それで、今年たくさんのオーディオブックを楽しみました！下記は聞いた順番でリストアップした。一番好きなのは１番のＴｈｅ Ｍａｒｔｉａｎ．後、お勧めは６番、７番、８番です。よいお年を！

Down to Eugene--the move, part 1!

We rented a van to take a load of stuff down last week. It was a pretty big van but still manageable!

Packing took a LOT of work ;-D

We got a storage unit in Eugene and unloaded.

Thank gosh for L's Tetris skills.

It all went in fine, with room to spare!

Yes, more Santa

Santa went on a bit of a walkabout the last few days. The other day he put his head in the snow on NJ's door...

 And popped out on our door...

Then, he tried to turn around...he got his head the right way up on NJ's door...

 But his little feet were still hanging on our door...to the great amusement of the snowman...

Luckily Santa has a little helper to get him back up...

The Perils of Packing

The place is a bit of a mess because the big move has begun...

Saw the new Star Wars! 新しいスター・ウォーズ映画を見に行った

We got tickets to the 1pm show today! Yippeeeeee!  もうみっちゃった！楽しかった！！！またみると思う！

Tequila and tacos Tuesday

On Tuesday, L made tacos so we decided to finish of the tequila. NJ brought great tequila shot cups!

Salt, tequila, lime! Heaven!

 L even made flan from scratch...

 ...it didn't last long, though...

 I even finally put up the Christmas tree and lights...

 ...and the leftovers from dinner went to my lunch...huevos rancheros!

Then he gave up and just hung out...

What is it with Mondays? 何で月曜日に投稿を忘れる？

For some weird reason, I forgot to do an upload again yesterday. Something about Mondays make them a blog black hole. Very strange. Not a big day--had a big interview and spent all morning preparing for it. We will see what happens. So, a quick catch-up--this is what I've been doing with my free time ;-D　なぜか分からないけど月曜日の投稿は忘れやすい。昨日は仕事のインタビューがあってちょっと良くないかも。結果を待っている。最近のフリータイムはこのようなもので超楽しい!
