We are back in Burnaby after a busy few days. There's a lot on our agenda today, perhaps even FlyOver Canada...  今日からはまたバーナビーにいます。今日の予定はまだ決めていないけどたぶんこの経験。

We are packing up to check out and head up for a few hours of skiing...it looks like another beautiful day...not as sunny but still good...チェックアウトの準備中。これから数時間も好きで切ると思う。。。今日もいい天気になるといい。。。

This is the OUTSIDE pool we swam in last night...believe it or not...夕べ、外のプールでちょっとだけ泳いだ。。。信じられなくない？

Good-bye, Whistler...it has been fun...じゃね、ウィスラー！楽しかった〜！

Ski day! スキーできた！

The weather was spectacular in Whistler today...this is a snap from the mountain...今日の天気は最高だった。山の上からの写真。

スキーの後のちょっとした休憩。A bit of a break after skiing...

I was pretty happy to get back to the room...I was very tired! スキーの後はすご〜く疲れた。部屋に戻れて信じられないほど嬉しかった。

We can see the ski slopes...really convenient...スキーが終わったらすぐホテルだ！超便利！ There is even a hot tub...which was a great end to the day...外のお風呂もあって、寝る前に使った！

Whistler!! ウィスラー

Today we are in Whistler. It is beautiful and we have ski-in-ski-out accommodation...very exciting! Y skied this afternoon but I will ski tomorrow...I have my gear...now to get to bed. 今日からウィスラー！Yさんはきょうちょっとすべった。私は今日いろいろレンタルして、明日からスキーやってみよう！ おやすみ！

Fun at Science World 科学博物館が楽しかった！

We went to the Telus World of Science today because it was snowing--a perfect day to explore indoors...今日は雪なので科学博物館で何時間も遊びました。

We saw a T-rex skeleton...恐竜の骸骨（がいこつ）もあった！

 Put together a very complicated puzzle...このパズルが思ったより難しかった！

 Saw some great Lego...レゴ、楽しかった！

Really great Lego...レゴ、本当にすばらしかった！

Did I mention the Lego? レゴのこともう書いた？

 And checked out some amazing blocks...Jenga on crack...このブロックもすごかった！スーパージェンガ見たい！

Day 1 with Y-san Yさんと最初の一日

I was lucky enough to get a visitor from Japan yesterday...and we headed out into the beautiful sunshine...saw a Tesla car!   昨日、日本からの友達が遊びに来てくれた。晴れていたのでバンクーバー空港の告ぎ、すぐ遊びに行った。テスラー会社の電気カーを始めて自分の目で見た。

Then we headed to the North Shore to go to Capilano...次はカピラのに行った。

The totems are great...  トーテム・ポールがすごい。。。

We stopped in at Deep Cove on the way back, but it was cold...帰りにディープ・コーブにも寄ったけど寒かった！

Spring is coming...春が来るかな。。。

I went for a little walk at a local nursery yesterday...and saw some great flowers and lovely garden art...including these great frogs. Maybe spring is coming...maybe...昨日ちょっとお散歩した。近くの植物を売っているところで近所の人と1地時間以上楽しんだ。このかえるさんも見て楽しかった。。。

 

晴れていてよかった。。。 It was a lovely sunny day, which helped...

The tulips were great...チューリップもすばらしかった！

We even got to feed the koi...鯉にもえさをあげた。。。What a lovely day...すばらしい一日だった。。。

Thursday at home...木曜日もうちで。。。

I was at home Thursday morning again so I thought I would give you a shot of my home office...I still use the sheep pillow, Sao! 木曜日の朝も家で過ごした。これはいつも家でメールをやっているところ。Sさんにもらった羊また使っている！ありがとう！

Look what L made! How yummy does this look? Lがこれを作ってくれた！おいしそうでしょう！

Salmon wellington with mushrooms and spinach, and a cheese sauce to go on top! Yum!　サーモン・ウェリングトンです！きのことほうれん草も入っていて、チーズソースをかけて美味しい！　ご馳走様!

Another good movie...またいい映画を見た。。。

Being sick at home has its benefits...I got to watch another good movie...


病休のいいところやっと見つけた：映画を見る時間がたっぷりあった！また楽しい映画を見た！

肺炎だって Apparently it’s pneumonia...

But at least I got to see the sunset because I was at home instead of working...今日も家で過ごした。お医者さんによると風じゃなくて肺炎だ。間違えかな。。。夕焼けが観れてよかった(仕事より他の楽しいことのした方がいい。。。時々。。。)

Star Trek Into Darkness

風邪が続いていて今日、なのもできなかった。

I am still sick but I managed to watch a movie...a good one at that.

今日も病気。。。I am so sick of being sick...

But at least it gives me time to watch spectacular performances like this...This is the same program that Yuzuru Hanyu skated in the Sochi Olympic short program and received over 100 points. Absolutely amazing. (The Olympic performance is not available online). 風邪はもういやだけどこのようなすばらしい演技を楽しむ時間があってありがたいね！この演技は羽生さんのオリンピック・ショート・プログラムと同じだと思う。すばらしいです！

The beaver is back AGAIN!! ビーバーがまた戻ってきた！

I was not at the office today (because I am still sick at home), but apparently the beaver is back. We have cut down a lot of his trees...poor guy! 今日はまた病休取ってしまいました。オフィスに行かなかったけど友達が上の写真を撮った。ビーバーが戻ってきた！可愛くない？！

Sick again...また風邪?

風邪ひいてしまった。今回は前回より大変みたい。今日は二日目仕事から休み。まったく面白くない。オリンピック見ても面白くない。どうしよう。。。

Yep, I have a cold again and it is BORING! This is my second day home from work and I am going back to work tomorrow because I am so darn bored. Even the Olympics is not exciting me...What a grump! ;-)

Check out the new toy...Lの恋人。。。

Lがやっと新しいコーヒーメーカーを買って、もって帰った。すばらしいコーヒーができるべきです。今朝初めて使ってみた。やっぱり濃いです！設定ちょっと変えなきゃ！ L has a new love affair...with a fancy coffee maker that came home with her last night. It was a bit strong for me but I need to adjust the settings...

コーヒー豆も挽いて（ひいて）くれる！すごくない？！ It even grinds the coffee beans for you...pretty impressive, what?

 ドーモくん、サイズはちょうどいい！毎朝，会いそう！ And the Domo cup is the perfect size--I guess we'll be seeing him every day from now on...

A lovely weekend breakfast...

I forgot to post this last weekend...this was the delightful Saturday morning breakfast that was enjoyed at our breakfast bar. As we head into another weekend, I wonder if I'll be having more yummy breakfasts...先週末に投稿するべきだった。先週の土曜日の朝ごはんだ！美味しかった！またこれ食べたいナー!

My day...

I am tired of getting up to make tea so I brought a teapot into work. Loving the green tea all day long!　オフィスで何回も休憩してお茶を台所で作って、時間がちょっと無駄使いと思う。やっとティーポットを持ってきた。一回お湯を入れるとお茶３杯ぐらいいただける。美味しくてうれしい！

Huevos rancheros

THIS was my crowning achievement of the weekend...I built huevos rancheros...週末にウェボス・ランチェーロスを作ってみた！www.alc.co.jpによると「トルティーヤの上に目玉焼きをのせて、トマトソースをかけたメキシコ料理。朝食に供されることが多い。」　なるほど。。。

私が使った材料。。。These were the ingredients...

チップスにビーンズをのせた。。。I put beans on top of the chips...

その上にほうれん草。。。And spinach on top of that...

その上に焼き卵。。。And then fried egg on top of that...

その上に乾燥トマト。。。And finally sundried tomato on top of that...

その上に切ったたまねぎやシラントロ Onion and cilantro on top of that...

オレンジジュースによくあう！It went really well with the OJ!
