Happy King's Day! 王様の日！

A pretty interesting day in the Netherlands--they have a new King! Congratulations King Willem-Alexander　今日はオランダでとても大事な日だった。ウィレム・アレキサンダーが新国王になった。オランダの王様は１２３年ぶりで、すごいと思う！

Pupusas・プープーサー

この間アメリカにまた行ってしまった。メキシコのプープーサを楽しくいただいた。Eaten on a recent trip down to the U.S.: Mexican food! We had delicious pupusas!

プープーサーの前はチップスとサルさー。Before pupusas arrived, we had chips and salsa.

これがプープーサーです。ビーンとチーズが入っていて、とてもおいしいものです。絶対お勧め！These are the pupusas. They have beans and cheese in them and are really delicious! I absolutely recommend them!

この間オブリビオンという映画を映画館で見た。どうかな。。。トム・クルーズとモーガン・フリーマンが出ているのでいいかなと思った。結構きれいな映画だけどストーリーが何か足りないかな。。。
I recently checked out the new Tom Cruise-Morgan Freeman movie, Oblivion. It is a really beautiful movie but there is something missing...

Jam tarts・タルト

L made the most divine jam tarts on the weekend! 週末にLが美味しいタルトを作ってくれた。

And the really amazing thing is she made the jam as well (a few months ago).　ジャムも何ヶ月前も作ってくれた。

So freaking delicious...美味しかった！

Especially with coffee...コヒーによくあった！

帰りのドライブ・The drive home

アストリア市から帰ってきた道は海岸の近くでとてもきれいだった。On the way home from Astoria, we drove along the coast for a while, which was gorgeous.

We also drove through Seattle while it was sunny--simply gorgeous. 太陽のあるシアトル市は信じられないほどきれいです。

私の好きな道も使った。シアトル市の下の道で超楽しいです。Expressway under the city--superb!

New shoes・新しい靴

この間、アストリア市に行ったとき、新しい靴を買った。ハイキングやお散歩用で、かわいくない？On the way down to Astoria, I picked up a pair of new shoes. They are great for hiking and walking. Cute, huh?

楽な靴。。。心地がいい。。。Soooo comfortable...

ハイキングで試してみて、成功です！　And they were even great when I tested them on a hike.

ハイキング・Hiking

アストリア市の近くでハイキングした。We went hiking at a trail near Astoria.

駐車所にあった機会です。太陽電池パネルで動いていて駐車代などは簡単に払える。This is a solar-powered payment station in the parking lot--very impressive!

More Astoria・またアストリア市

アストリア市が超きれいで、土曜日にあっちこっち散歩した。Astoria is lovely so we took lots of walks around the little town on Saturday.

とてもきれいです。Beautiful...

フィッシュ・アンド・チップスも有名で、この作っているところはもともと動く船だった。This is Bowpickers, a fish and chips place in a little boat on land...

今はレストランです。Now it is a popular little food stand...

食べたフィッシュ。いっぱいあったけどこれは食べる途中です。 This is our lunch--well, half of it anyway..

面白いのはボスニア国のレストランもあった。今度行って見たい。There was even a Bosnian restaurant in town--we'll have to check it out next time.

路面電車（ろめんでんしゃ）もあった。乗らなかったけど。。。 The trolley car in town...

早くないけど景色がきれい。 It is not fast, but it goes along the water.

路面電車はスーパーやスターバーのところまで行く。いいのはこの駐車所の景色。。。The trolley goes all the way to the supermarket/Starbucks so that is convenient.

すごくない？駐車所から見れるのはこれです。買い物したくなるじゃ！ The parking lot has the best view--makes me want to shop (almost)...

いいね。。。Just lovely...

アストリア市に行ってきた・To Astoria and back

金曜日に休みを取った。サリー市を出て、南へ運転しました。朝早くおきて、オレゴン州のアストリア市まで行った。On Friday, we took a day off and headed south to Astoria. We got up early and drove down to Oregon, where Astoria is located.

アストリア市は車で5時間半ぐらい行けば太平洋の海岸にある。「ベイビュー・モーテル」というところで二泊した。Astoria is about 5.5 hours south, on the Pacific Coast. We stayed two nights at the Bayview Motel.
